Good, rewarding experience
I recommend the agency. The tour left on time, the tours are exactly as described, the menu is delicious (note: it's not a buffet), the lodge staff and guides were very friendly to everyone, the lodge town is beautiful, and the rooms are clean. My room could have used a little maintenance, but as a form of experiential tourism, it's excellent. Be sure to bring extra batteries for your cell phone since there's only electricity for a few hours. I'm very grateful because I met some very kind and helpful people.
A highly recommended tour

A wonderful experience! We had so much fun on the tour. The lodge was peaceful and spacious. Highly recommended! 🙌
Thanks to the agency, I really enjoyed the trip and the tour done with the agency; seeing the Amazon River was one of the most beautiful things there was, and visiting the rescue centers.

Overall, the tour was very affordable and well organized. We saw many animals, and our guide was genuinely funny, which made the experience enjoyable and lighthearted.

However, we were disappointed by the heavy focus on selling during the activities. In some cases, the sales talks lasted longer than the time we actually spent observing the animals, which took away from the overall experience.

Another issue was at the end of the tour. Although the return transport by tuk tuk was clearly included in our booking (and shown on our receipt), the driver still asked us for money. We had to return to the office to sort things out. The manager wasn't there, but thankfully, a staff member eventually paid the driver. Still, it caused unnecessary stress.

The most disappointing part, however, was that we were misled. We were promised a 100% chance to see a toucan – and this was the main reason we booked the tour. We even explained how important this was to us. In the end, we didn’t see a toucan, and the guide confirmed that there are actually no toucans at the rescue center. This was incredibly frustrating and felt dishonest, especially since we had been looking forward to it all day.

Summary: The tour offers good value and some fun moments, but be aware of the sales pressure, organizational hiccups, and don’t count on promises being kept.

Isus and hector were amazing tour guides, very professional. I booked two separate day tours via Amazon journeys lodge and expeditions which was the agent. The operating company was Tucan jungle expeditions. Make sure you have your malaria pills and gave taken the yellow fever vaccine. The tour was just great. You can tell by the pictures. We went up the amazon, and visited monkey Island, a local market, and one of the local tribes dressed up which was a cute show for terrorists.

This jungle experience was so much fun for me and my girlfriend! We got to ride down the Amazon river, hold a sloth, dance with Bora Bora people, and play with monkeys! Manuel Ocampo was a great guide for us.

This was easily one of the best experiences I have ever had! We booked a 3 day/2 night tour con Alan and he made it better than we could have imagined. He went above and beyond to help us with any and all needs, available at all hours of the day and night! We were so impressed with his hospitality and vast knowledge of la selva. He has a true passion for the Amazon and I feel lucky he shared it with us! 10/10 everyone should book this!!!! In addition, Eterulio at la officina made sure we were taken care of and Willie de la selva at la selva vida was a pleasure to spend time with. I can’t wait to return with my family and friends!

We took a tour with Tucan jungle expedition for 2 nights 3 days into the amazon and had an amazing experience! Our guide Alan was great, full of knowledge and good humour, he really made our trip a great experience. The accommodation was super comfortable and the food was also delicious. The buffet style was perfect and there was always more than enough food available. We visited monkey island, night tours in the jungle, sunrise and sunset tours looking for pink dolphins, visited local communities, went fishing for piranhas and swam in the Amazon river. We have been travelling 8 months and this tour has been one of the highlights of the whole trip :)
